Amazon MGM Studios Distribution Launches Sales of New Amazon and MGM Film and Television Titles at MIPCOM 2023
Amazon MGM Studios Distribution will offer a new slate of premium Amazon and MGM film and television titles at MIPCOM 2023. Film offerings include AIR, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Thirteen Lives,and Samaritan. Television offerings include Hotel Cocaine, Bosch: Legacy Season One, Billy the Kid Season Two, Fargo Installment5, and the Gladiators format.
New film titles include AIR, from award-winning director Ben Affleck and starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, and Marlon Wayans. AIR reveals the unbelievable game-changing partnership between then-rookie basketball player Michael Jordan and Nike’s fledgling basketball division, which revolutionized the world of sports and contemporary culture with the Air Jordan brand. Amazon MGM Studios Distribution is also offering Thirteen Lives, which recounts the incredible true story of the global effort to rescue a Thai boys soccer team who become trapped in the Tham Luang cave network during an unexpected rainstorm. The film is directed by Ron Howard and stars Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton, and Tom Bateman; andSamaritan, starring Sylvester Stallone as the mysterious and reclusive Mr. Smith, who 13-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) is suspicious of, but is actually a legend hiding in plain sight. New television series include Hotel Cocaine, starring Danny Pino (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Mayans M.C.) as Roman Compte, general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. The series also stars Yul Vázquez, Michael Chiklis, and Mark Feuerstein. Also being offered are Bosch: Legacy Season One,starring Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch. From MGM Alternative, the Gladiators formatwill be available out of MIPCOM. With greenlights for series from BBC in the UK and TEN in Australia, this reinvigorated take and a brand-new cast of incredible Gladiators will be called upon to face the fresh-faced contenders in the ultimate test of speed and strength.

The Mutiny Hotel was Casablanca on cocaine, a glitzy nightclub, restaurant, and hotel frequented by Florida businessmen and politicians, international narcos, CIA and FBI agents, models, sports stars, and musicians.
