Kanal D’s highly anticipated project for the new season, Haysiyet (Dignity), took its first major step toward production by bringing its powerful cast together for a script-reading session.
A very warm and intimate atmosphere filled this special gathering, marking the first time the strong ensemble cast came together. Experiencing the excitement of stepping into their characters while reading the script as a collective for the first time, the actors delivered performances that received full marks from the show’s screenwriters and director. Serving as a great source of motivation for the team before heading to the set, this inaugural table read officially kicked off the countdown for the eagerly awaited television series.
Love, Honor, and the Class Struggle
Preparing to hit the set in the near future, Haysiyet will clash the honorable struggle of a working-class family with the world of a wealthy and powerful dynasty. The story begins when the paths of Mehmet (Doğukan Güngör) and Simay (Merih Öztürk), who come from completely different walks of life, cross. Written by Leyla Uslu Oter and Cem Akyoldaş, the series promises to bring love, dignity, and class conflicts to the audience through a deeply striking narrative.
An Ambitious Cast
Under development for a long time, Haysiyet draws significant attention not only for its compelling story but also for its high-caliber cast. Directed by Eda Teksöz, the series features an extensive lineup including Kerem Alışık, Doğukan Güngör, Reha Özcan, Merih Öztürk, Nergis Öztürk, Gökberk Yıldırım, Orkun Can İzan, Asır Gündoğdu, Aybüke Yılmaz, Elifcan Ongurlar, Burak Çelik, Berfin Kıymaz, Nizam Namidar, Gülçin Hatıhan, Ayça Varlıer, Ceren Kesim, Ecem Koca, Doruk Miraç Günaydın, and Hilal Kuvvet.
