Disney+ has unveiled the first teaser poster for its upcoming local original series Pera: Gör Beni, starring Afra Saraçoğlu.
The eight-episode series, produced by Onur Güvenatam and bearing the OGM Pictures signature, invites viewers into a world shaped by the concepts of being seen and being watched.
What Lies Behind Pera’s Glamorous World?
Written by Başar Başaran and directed by Bahadır Karataş, Pera: Gör Beni follows Pera, played by Afra Saraçoğlu, an influencer who constantly makes headlines with everything she says and does.
Pera has become the embodiment of a luxurious, aesthetically polished and glamorous lifestyle. Yet behind her seemingly perfect world lies a series of secrets and hidden truths.
The teaser poster offers the first clues about Pera’s life under constant scrutiny. Surrounded by social media comments, the poster puts the series’ central theme of being watched front and center, while also hinting at its psychological dimension. Pera’s story explores not only what it means to be visible, but also the pressure of having to remain visible at all times.
One Night Changes Everything
Pera’s carefully constructed world of luxury and glamour comes crashing down after a series of events unfold in a single night. In their aftermath, she is forced to confront both herself and the life she has been living in full view of everyone.
Filmed in Istanbul and Çanakkale, Pera: Gör Beni features Afra Saraçoğlu alongside Furkan Andıç, Ulvi Kahyaoğlu, Nil Sude Albayrak, Yetkin Dikinciler, Emin Gürsoy, Tülay Günal, Mehmet Bilge Aslan, Nazlı Bulum, Abdurrahman Yunusoğlu and Ali Yoğurtçuoğlu.
Exploring visibility, social media and a life shaped by the gaze of others, Pera: Gör Beni will premiere soon, exclusively on Disney+.
