The Apple TV comedy, Widow’s Bay, led all five tracked Emmy nominees throughout the monitoring period, with its popularity rising 72 percentage points after its record-breaking 14 wins.
Widow’s Bay not only dominated the 2026 Emmys, but also saw a significant rise in streaming interest following its record-breaking awards haul. According to data from JustWatch, the Apple TV comedy recorded the highest popularity score among the five tracked nominees throughout both the nominations period and the days following the ceremony.
The data, based on streaming intent signals from JustWatch users, compares activity between July 8–15, during the Emmy nominations period, and September 13–16, covering the awards ceremony and its immediate aftermath.
Widow’s Bay Leads the Emmy Field
With 14 wins, Widow’s Bay set a new record for the most Emmy wins by a comedy series in a single year. Its streaming popularity reflected that momentum, climbing 72 percentage points from the nominations period to its post-Emmy peak.
The series remained ahead of the other four titles tracked by JustWatch every day across both periods, suggesting that its awards success was accompanied by a notable increase in audience interest.
The Pitt and DTF St. Louis Take Different Paths
The Pitt, which received 25 nominations—the highest total among the tracked titles—and won Outstanding Drama Series for the second consecutive year, recorded a more modest 9-percentage-point increase in popularity.
Meanwhile, DTF St. Louis showed a sharper turnaround. The limited series performed well below its own baseline during the nominations period, but surged after the ceremony, overtaking The Pitt to become the second most popular title in the tracker. Its rise came in the same week that it won Outstanding Limited Series over nomination leader Beef.
Emmy Wins Do Not Always Translate into Streaming Buzz
The JustWatch data also highlights a different outcome for Spider-Noir. Despite taking home five Emmys at the Creative Arts ceremony, the series continued to lose popularity throughout awards weekend, ending the September 13–16 tracking window at its lowest point of the summer.
The figures underline how Emmy recognition and streaming interest can move independently, with different titles experiencing very different audience responses before and after the awards.
