TOD has unveiled the first poster and trailer for Alıkara, its upcoming original series starring Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı together for the first time.
Produced by Karga7 Pictures, the series is directed by Hülya Gezer and written by Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü.
Alıkara centers on two very different people whose lives become intertwined through the same tragedy.
Miray Daner stars as Işık And, a young forensic psychologist who grew up in Istanbul and relies on reason and analysis to make sense of the world around her. Her life changes when her father suddenly disappears.
Halit Özgür Sarı plays Deniz Baran Dağ, a homicide detective who has lived with the weight of devastating losses since childhood. When his beloved niece Neşe dies, she leaves behind a series of unanswered questions.
Their paths eventually cross as the two separate tragedies begin to point toward the same mystery. While Işık searches for clues in the human psyche, Deniz follows the traces left behind by those responsible for a crime. As they move closer to the truth, however, they also find themselves confronting the darker corners of their own pasts.
Blending mystery, psychological drama and romance, Alıkara explores the tension between reason and intuition, while bringing together themes of East and West, tradition and modernity, and faith and science.
Alongside Daner and Sarı, the cast includes Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Fatih Al, Can Atak, Bahadır Vatanoğlu, Burak Güneş, Yaprak Medine, Yiğit Batumlu, Esra Ünnü, Elif Gülhan, Jasmine Berkiş, Gökhan Soylu and Serpil Gül.
Combining mystery and suspense with psychological depth and an emotional story, Alıkara will premiere soon on TOD.
