Widow’s Bay has released its first teaser trailer, offering an eerie glimpse into the new horror-comedy starring Matthew Rhys.
Blending elements of dark humor with supernatural tension, Widow’s Bay stands out as a genre-bending project with a strong atmospheric tone.
Widow’s Bay follows Tom Loftis, a small-town mayor in a seemingly picturesque New England coastal community. While the town appears idyllic on the surface, something far more sinister lurks beneath, as long-buried secrets and unsettling events begin to resurface. Determined to restore the town’s reputation and build a better future, Tom finds himself increasingly entangled in forces he struggles to understand.

Created by Katie Dippold and directed by Hiro Murai, the series explores themes of belief, fear, and the tension between rationality and superstition. As locals cling to stories of curses and dark history, the line between myth and reality starts to blur.
The first three episodes are set to premiere on Apple TV+ on April 29. Alongside Rhys, the cast includes Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kevin Carroll, and Dale Dickey, bringing depth to a story that revolves around a community haunted not only by its past, but by something far more inexplicable.
