Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Assassin’s Creed has begun production, unfolding a new story set in Rome in 64 AD.
Assassin’s Creed centers on a secret war between two shadowy factions: one aiming to control and manipulate humanity’s future, and the other fighting to preserve free will. The story follows characters as they navigate pivotal historical moments and struggle to shape the course of history.
The main cast includes Lola Petticrew, Toby Wallace, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, Tanzyn Crawford, Nabhaan Rizwan, and Claes Bang, with Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris, and Corrado Invernizzi appearing in recurring roles.
The creative team features Emmy nominees Roberto Patino and David Wiener as showrunners and executive producers. In collaboration with Ubisoft, Netflix aims to preserve the spirit of the game universe while introducing new worlds and themes to viewers. No official release date has been announced yet.
