BBC Studios and CosmoBlue Media have expanded their collaboration in Türkiye, marking a significant step in their regional growth strategy.
As part of the partnership, the Cosmo EN channel and BBC Player have officially launched in the country, bringing a wide range of BBC content to local audiences.
Cosmo EN offers a curated mix of programming spanning kids’ content, premium documentaries and crime series, and is now available across major platforms including D-Smart, Tivibu, beIN and Kablo TV. Meanwhile, BBC Player can be accessed via the Cosmo GO app, further extending the reach of BBC’s on-demand offerings.
Beyond these launches, the partnership also includes the distribution of key BBC channels such as BBC First, BBC Earth and CBeebies across Türkiye and the wider MENA region. The collaboration aims to strengthen audience reach and deliver high-quality, premium content to broader markets, with both companies positioning the move as a long-term strategic expansion and growth initiative.
Bartosz Witak, senior VP, general manager Central and eastern Europe, MENA and Türkiye at BBC Studios, said: “This collaboration reinforces BBC Studios’ commitment to the region and reflects our shared ambition to deliver premium entertainment. By joining forces, we aim to broaden our reach, create new opportunities to connect with audiences and accelerate growth in line with our regional strategy.”
Berk Uziyel, co-founder and group CEO at CosmoBlue Media, said: “This marks the first step in an expanded strategic partnership. Our shared vision is centred on high-quality content, cultural relevance and meaningful entertainment experiences.”
