Netflix has released the first official trailer for Animals, a new thriller directed by and starring Ben Affleck. The film will premiere on October 9.
Affleck co-wrote the screenplay with Connor O. McIntyre and Billy Ray and also takes on directing duties. The cast includes Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun, Gillian Anderson, Luis Gerardo Méndez and Adriana Paz.
Animals follows a Los Angeles mayoral candidate and his wife after their son is kidnapped, drawing them into an increasingly complicated web of deception and threats.
As the couple struggles to raise the ransom needed to save their son, they are forced to make difficult decisions that could permanently change their lives and everything they have built.
Animals will be available on Netflix on October 9.
