UK distributor DCD Rights is bringing a broad selection of new factual programming to MIPCOM 2026, covering travel, food, true crime, history, antiques and natural history. The slate will complement the company’s latest scripted offerings at the market.
Among the new titles is Bill Bailey’s Korea Adventure (6×60’), produced by Perpetual Entertainment and Glassbox Productions for Channel 4. The series follows comedian Bill Bailey as he explores South Korea, travelling from Seoul to Jeju Island while discovering the country’s traditions, food, music and contemporary culture.
True crime, history and lifestyle lead the slate
DCD Rights is also launching two new culinary series from Blue Marlin Television for ITV: James Martin’s Quick ‘N’ Easy (10×30’), focused on accessible home cooking, and James Martin’s Italian Adventure (6×30’), which sees the chef explore Italy’s food culture and regional cuisine.
DCD Rights’ true crime titles include The Truth About My Murder (6×60’), produced by Yeti for BBC Wales/BBC iPlayer. The series sees forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd revisit murder cases using digital autopsy technology and evidence from investigators and victims’ families. DCD is also presenting Murder by the Sea: Series 3-10 (76×60’), produced by Monster Films for CBS Reality/True Crime and hosted by Dr Nell Darby and Geoffrey Wansell.
The factual slate extends into history with Saving Blenheim Palace (3×60’), following a major £12 million conservation project at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Country House Auction (4×60’), which explores antiques and auctions at Ireland’s Castle Durrow. Returning title The Travelling Auctioneers Series 6 (25×60’) joins the line-up, alongside Wildbear Entertainment’s The Geography of War: World War II (4×60’) and wildlife series Raised in the Wild (6×60’).
DCD Rights CEO Nicky Davies Williams said the company is heading to MIPCOM with “an extremely diverse line-up of hot new factual titles” alongside returning series that have performed across multiple territories.
