Jury for the Rose d’Or Latinos awards begins its work
Rose d’Or Latinos judging begins as industry prepares to celebrate at Gala Awards Ceremony in Miami during Content Americas
While the finalists of the Rose d’Or Latinos Awards are expected to be announced on December 11, the Jury, which includes more than 170 leading executives, has started its work. The Awards Gala Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, January 23rd in Miami at Content Americas.
Nearly 300 entries were received across 11 categories, with representation from all major producers, platforms and channels across Lat Am, US Hispanic, Spain and Portugal.
The awards are the Latin cousin to the prestigious Rose d’Or Awards, which have been celebrating the best in international programming since 1961.
AWARDS GALA CEREMONY TO BE HELD DURING CONTENT AMERICAS
The chairman of this year’s awards, Marcos Santana, said: “This first Rose d’Or Latinos is set to be a celebration of an amazingly creative community, with shows from the Latin American, US Hispanic, Spanish and Portuguese markets competing for Gold. We are delighted by the number of programmes entered and so impressed with the quality and diversity of the programming on offer in the market. Deciding on the winners will be very difficult.
“To do that we are proud to have assembled an amazing 170+ strong jury, made up of the most influential executives in the sector. They now have a month to decide on the winners. I would like to add my personal thanks to everyone involved. I am looking forward to coming together with the whole community for a fantastic gala celebration during Content Americas.”
FINALISTS TO ANNOUNCE ON DECEMBER 11TH
A month of intense judging will now take place, with the finalists announced on December 11.
Content Americas, one of the leading content fairs in the entertainment industry, will take place between January 23-25. Leading industry representatives from Turkey are also participating in this event.
