Series Mania Forum Starts Today
Series Mania Forum starts with its 7th edition in Lille. Over the course of three days (March 19-21), the forum will bring together media professionals from around the world. This year’s exhibitors will also include Turkish TV series distribution companies. The Forum is seen as a platform for Turkish TV series to explore market opportunities in Europe.
Today’s line-up includes:
The highly anticipated co-pro pitching sessions followed by the awards ceremony, exclusive content showcases from Netflix and Mediawan, pitching sessions from their resident writers, and showcases of series from Korea, Finland, Spain and France.
The Co-Pro Pitching Sessions
For the 2024 edition of the forum, 413 series projects were submitted from 57 different countries. The best project will be announced at the awards ceremony tonight.
Mediawan Showcase
Attendees will discover the first exclusive images from the highly anticipated series, The Count of Monte Cristo, at an exceptional presentation in the presence of Oscar-winning director Bille August, Golden Globes-nominated actor Sam Claflin and Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons.
The Count of Monte Cristo is produced by PALOMAR (Italy), in collaboration with DEMD Productions (France), both Mediawan companies.
Series Mania Forum Award Ceremony
Following the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions, the international jury will award the Best Project to one of the 15 projects in competition. The 50,000€ prize will allow the winners to develop their series project.
