Merzigo, the Istanbul-headquartered digital distribution and monetization giant, has appointed media veteran Wendy McMahon as Senior Advisor for US Media Strategy and Growth to bolster its expansion in the American market.
McMahon, who previously served as the President and CEO of CBS News and Stations and led ABC’s owned television stations, will provide strategic guidance on broadcast partnerships, studio collaborations, and digital monetization models. Her role is specifically designed to champion “digital-first” and “YouTube-first” production strategies across the industry, leveraging her extensive experience in overseeing major American news and station operations.
Operating from hubs in Istanbul, Los Angeles, and London, Merzigo currently manages more than 6,000 official channels across over 30 languages, generating a staggering 17 billion monthly views. By adding McMahon to a leadership framework that already counts partners like Hallmark, Hearst Media, and Steve Harvey Global, the company aims to redefine the boundaries of IP monetization.
Chairperson and CEO Yiğit Doğan Çelik emphasized that this partnership combines the company’s specialized technology with McMahon’s deep industry expertise to help US media businesses thrive in a new era of entertainment distribution.
