Harbour Rights has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with COL Group International to bring more than 1,000 premium microdrama (vertical drama) titles to European and Latin American markets.
Under the agreement, Harbour Rights will serve as the official distribution partner for COL Group’s content. The catalogue includes high-performing vertical-format series from COL’s global platform FlareFlow and China-based 17K, which have collectively generated billions of views worldwide.
The content is currently available in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese, with Hindi-, Turkish- and Arabic-language titles set to be added in the near future.
The partnership is designed to serve both vertical-only digital platforms and traditional media companies expanding into the microdrama space. Harbour Rights will provide end-to-end distribution solutions, covering technical delivery requirements as well as flexible packaging and licensing models to ease market entry.
Driven by mobile-first viewing habits, the vertical drama/microdrama format has seen rapid growth in the U.S. and China, with global expansion expected to accelerate in 2026. OTT platforms, TV broadcasters and IP partnerships are increasingly emerging as key revenue and growth opportunities for the format.
