Netflix has found its leading stars for Icebreaker, the upcoming series adaptation of Hannah Grace’s bestselling novel.
Daisy Jelley, known for Poser and How to Have Sex, will portray Anastasia “Stassie” Allen, while Connor Simos (Subversion) will take on the role of Nate Hawkins in the college hockey romance drama.

The series follows Anastasia Allen, a transfer student and competitive figure skater determined to win Olympic gold, and Nate Hawkins, a campus hockey star pursuing a career in the NHL. When an accident forces their teams to share the same ice rink, their paths collide, sparking an intense romance that challenges their discipline and sporting ambitions.
How Successful Is the Original Novel?
Icebreaker is the first novel in Hannah Grace’s Maple Hills trilogy. Originally published in November 2022 before receiving a wider release in 2023, the book spent 70 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list and has sold nearly five million copies worldwide.
The success of the novel has extended to the entire trilogy, with global sales of the three-book series surpassing 7.5 million copies.

Icebreaker joins Netflix’s growing lineup of literary adaptations, which includes I Will Find You, Little House on the Prairie and the breakout series His & Hers.
