Netflix has released a trailer for its new psychological thriller Unchosen and confirmed its premiere date.
The six-part series will debut on April 21 and stars Siobhan Finneran and Asa Butterfield.
Unchosen centers on Rosie, a woman living within a closed-off British religious sect, who finds herself trapped between a suffocating marriage and a mysterious newcomer with a dark past. Tension escalates with the arrival of Sam, a fugitive on the run from the police, while Rosie begins to realize that the community she lives in may not be as safe as it seems.

At its core, the series revolves around a central question: where does the real danger lie? Within the cult itself, or with Sam and his troubled past? Christopher Eccleston plays the enigmatic leader Mr Phillips, adding to the show’s unsettling atmosphere. With its claustrophobic tone and strong sense of psychological pressure, the series is created by Julie Gearey and directed by Jim Loach and Philippa Langdale.
