The House of the Spirits, the first-ever TV adaptation of Isabel Allende’s iconic novel, is coming to Prime Video.
The House of the Spirits follows three generations of women, Clara, Blanca, and Alba, delving into themes of class struggle, political upheaval, and magical realism in South America.
This eight-episode Spanish-language series will premiere its first three episodes on April 29, with the remaining episodes released on May 13. The cast features Alfonso Herrera as Esteban Trueba, alongside Nicole Wallace and Dolores Fonzi portraying Clara del Valle at different stages of her life, with Fernanda Castillo, Aline Kuppenheim, Eduard Fernández, Sara Becker, and Fernanda Urrejola in key roles.
Isabel Allende, Eva Longoria, and Courtney Saladino serve as executive producers, while the production is handled by FilmNation Entertainment with support from Fabula. The story draws inspiration from Allende’s own family history and the 1973 military coup in Chile, exploring love, family secrets, societal change, and revolution in an epic multigenerational saga.
