Tubi has signed new multi-territory licensing agreements with Sony Pictures Entertainment and NBCUniversal, adding more than 450 movies and TV episodes to its library in Australia, Canada, and the UK.
Free streaming platform Tubi is expanding its international content offering through new licensing deals with Sony Pictures Entertainment and NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
The agreements will bring more than 450 library movies and TV episodes to viewers across Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, further strengthening Tubi’s position in the international streaming market.
The deals come as Tubi continues to see growth outside the US. The UK has recorded more than 50% year-over-year growth in both total viewing time and monthly viewers, while the platform has also reported sustained double-digit growth in Canada and Australia.
Sony and NBCUniversal Titles Coming to Tubi
The new agreements will give Tubi subscribers access to a broad selection of popular movies from both studios, with titles varying by territory.
NBCUniversal titles include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Shaun of the Dead, Along Came Polly, Ex Machina, Jurassic World, The Mummy, How to Train Your Dragon, Lady Bird and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, among others.
Sony Pictures Entertainment’s additions include Baby Driver, The Da Vinci Code, A Knight’s Tale, Easy A, Eat Pray Love, The Fifth Element, Jumanji, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Resident Evil and The Other Guys.
The availability of individual titles will vary across Australia, Canada, and the UK.
The Platform Continues Its International Expansion
The platform now offers more than 375,000 movies and TV episodes, including more than 400 Tubi Originals and 25,000 creator episodes.
The streamer says viewers watched more than 13 billion hours of content over the past 12 months, including a record 3.4 billion hours during the fourth quarter.
David Salmon, Tubi’s Executive Vice President and Managing Director of International, said the new partnerships with Sony Pictures Entertainment and NBCUniversal will expand viewers’ access to premium movies and television while supporting the platform’s continued international growth.
With its latest studio deals, the platform continues to build its free streaming offering across key international markets while expanding its library with established film and television titles.
