AMC+ and Crave unveiled the first teaser and teaser art for YAGA during their Comic-Con panel, offering the first look at the eight-episode contemporary mystery thriller ahead of its October 2026 premiere.
Showrunner Kat Sandler describes this feminist retelling of the Eastern-European myth Baba Yaga as ‘’propulsive, sexy, funny, dark, and wildly surprising’’.
Based on Kat Sandler’s book and play bearing the same name, YAGA follows a private investigator, Rapp (Noah Reid), who is brought into town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams), on behalf of Henry’s family. He comes face to face with Detective Carson (Clark Backo) and Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), who is a university professor with an interest in young men. A labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic that leaves Rapp in a state of obscurity.

The Crave Original series is produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures in association with Bell Media. David Frazee and Rachel Talalay are the co-directors while Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller, and Carrie-Anne Moss serve as executive producers and Charles Cooper as producer. YAGA is distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media company.
Noah Reid, Clark Backo and Kat Sandler’s descriptions from Comic-Con paint a thriller story told in a way that blends genres. According to Clark Backo, YAGA is a show that is “using humor to be able to dive into extremely complicated, fragile, and complex themes” and it makes you ponder what good and evil look like. The show demands viewers’ attention in order not to miss stuff because, as Kat Sandler mentions, it is filled with Easter eggs. The wait for YAGA’s release continues as new details about the show are announced.
