The competition between Turkish summer series, shaped by romantic stories and new faces, is being measured beyond ratings this time, with media visibility emerging as another key indicator.
According to data from Media Monitoring Center (MTM), Kanal D’s Torn Apart ranked first in terms of total media mentions across all platforms in July, while Show TV’s Love, Probably came in second.
Turkish summer series offers television networks an opportunity to introduce new stories and actors to audiences, while also giving producers a chance to test their projects in a less crowded television landscape. Yet repetitive storylines, early cancellations and the pressure of ratings continue to make summer series a frequent topic of discussion.
The competition of Turkish summer series is taking place between Kanal D’s Torn Apart, Show TV’s Love, Probably, ATV’s Different Lives and Star TV’s Nature of Love.
The competition between Turkish summer series is now accompanied by visibility across both traditional and social media. According to research conducted by the Media Monitoring Center between July 1 and 31, 2026, across more than 10,000 sources, the four summer series broadcast on the four networks generated a total of 768,828 media mentions across all platforms.
Of these mentions, 758,600—or approximately 99 percent—came from social media posts. The figures highlight the dominant role social media now plays in the competition between Turkish summer series.
TORN APART LEADS THE RANKING
This summer’s story of competition shaped by friendship and family ties is led by Kanal D’s Torn Apart, produced by Pastel Film. The series follows 17-year-old Aras as he travels to Bodrum in search of his missing brother and recorded 369,232 mentions, placing it at the top of the ranking.
It was followed by Show TV’s Love, Probably, produced by MF Yapım, with 215,615 mentions. The series focuses on Defne’s emotional journey between Tolga and Kadir as she faces pressure from her family to get married.
ATV’s Different Lives, produced by NTC Medya, ranked third with 139,185 mentions. The series follows Emir and his friends as they pursue their dreams in Istanbul.
Star TV’s Nature of Love, produced by Ay Yapım, came fourth with 44,796 mentions, centering on the relationship between Doğa and Yaman in a story stretching from Istanbul to Urla.
THE RANKING CHANGES IN TRADITIONAL MEDIA
Unlike the heavier, crime- and mafia-focused dramas of the winter season, summer series tend to put comedy and romance at the forefront. When mentions outside social media are examined—including online news, television and print media—a somewhat different ranking emerges.
Torn Apart maintains its lead in traditional media as well, while Different Lives ranks second and Love, Probably comes third. The results show that social media performance and traditional media visibility do not necessarily move in the same direction for every series.
The July figures from Turkish summer series, compiled through the monitoring of thousands of publications and numerous media sources, demonstrate that the competition between summer series cannot be understood through ratings alone. MTM’s data also suggests that considering social and traditional media visibility together offers a more comprehensive picture of how these productions perform in the public sphere.
