39th Cannes MIPCOM Will Be Held on 16-19 October
The television industry event MIPCOM, which takes place annually in Cannes, traditionally in October, serves as a marketplace for buying and selling new programs and formats for international distribution. The event will be held between 16-19 October this year.
Organized by Reed MIDEM, a subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions, the event is attended by celebrities as well as representatives of television studios and broadcasters. The event also includes presentations and panels where industry representatives discuss new trends and developments.
MIPCOM also provides the opportunity to premiere highly anticipated new programs around the world. Each year, before MIPCOM, a side event called MIPJunior, dedicated exclusively to the children’s television industry, is also held.
The event, which will be held for the 39th time this year, will bring together more than 12,000 delegates and 3,000 buyers from more than 110 countries in Cannes. MIPCOM, titled the “mother of the entertainment content markets”, is one of the most anticipated events for global decision makers to compete for new series, find international production partners and set the development agenda for next year and beyond.
