Peter Gould, co-creator of Better Call Saul, has developed a new drama project for FX and Hulu titled Disinherited, which has been ordered to series following its pilot.
The show stars Victoria Pedretti and Kiera Allen, with additional cast members including Karl Glusman, Alan Ruck, Katja Herbers, Eddie Marsan, and Jonathan Higginbotham. The story follows two scrappy sisters who are thrust into a world of generational wealth and long-buried crimes after an unexpected inheritance.
Executive producing and overseeing the series are Peter Gould, who also directed the pilot, alongside Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue of T-Street, with production handled by FX Productions.
Gould brings his award-winning experience as a showrunner and writer from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, while T-Street’s credits include Peacock’s Poker Face, Netflix’s Three-Body Problem, and the upcoming Will Ferrell golf comedy on Netflix.
FX Entertainment President Gina Balian describes Disinherited as “bold, character-driven storytelling that explores themes of family, power, and consequence with high moral stakes.”
