Apple TV+ has officially renewed its hit series Margo’s Got Money Troubles for a second season.
Based on the best-selling novel by Rufi Thorpe and brought to the screen by David E. Kelley and Eva Anderson, Margo’s Got Money Troubles delivers a modern story of survival and family dynamics. The narrative centers on Margo (Elle Fanning), who, after dropping out of Fullerton College, turns to the world of OnlyFans to provide for her newborn baby. To boost her content’s popularity, she crafts a unique “alien” persona, drawing inspiration from the promotional tactics of her father, Jinx (Nick Offerman), a former professional wrestler.
The series boasts a star-studded cast, with Fanning joined by Michelle Pfeiffer as her mother, Nick Offerman as her father, and Nicole Kidman as her father’s former wrestling colleague-turned-lawyer. The ensemble also features notable performances from Greg Kinnear, Marcia Gay Harden, and Michael Angarano.
Following a dramatic first-season finale that left viewers with a tense custody battle and Jinx’s tragic relapse into drug addiction, the second season is expected to explore these unresolved storylines. Produced by A24, the show’s executive production team includes Kelley, Anderson, Nicole Kidman, and both Elle and Dakota Fanning.
