Netflix has officially kicked off the countdown for its upcoming romantic comedy Voicemails for Isabelle, starring Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson.
The film is set to premiere globally on the streaming platform on June 19, 2026. The narrative follows Jill (Zoey Deutch) as she copes with the painful loss of her sister, Isabelle, by continuing to leave deeply personal, funny, and raw confessionals on her deceased sister’s old phone number.
Unbeknownst to Jill, the number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson), an Austin-based real estate agent. As Wes listens to these intimate messages detailing Jill’s life as an aspiring pastry chef in San Francisco, he begins to form a profound long-distance connection and falls in love with the woman behind the voice before they even meet.

Voicemails for Isabelle marks a significant project for its lead actors, bringing together Zoey Deutch, who previously proved her romantic comedy chops in Netflix’s Set It Up, and Nick Robinson, widely recognized for his roles in Maid and Jurassic World. The supporting cast features notable talent, including Nick Offerman and Harry Shum Jr. Written and directed by Leah McKendrick, who also plays Wes’s close friend, Breeda, the film is described as an emotional journey that seamlessly transitions from dark, debilitating grief into the exciting spark of a new romance.
Described by the characters themselves as a modern, technology-driven spin on the classic You’ve Got Mail, the plot thickens when Wes decides to travel to San Francisco to meet Jill in person. However, the burgeoning romance becomes complicated as he struggles to reveal the bittersweet reason behind his sudden appearance in her life.
