Leticia Dolera’s drama Pubertat – Secrets, Lies, and Human Castles made an impressive debut on Catalonia’s public broadcaster, 3Cat, recently achieving excellent ratings.
The first two episodes of the series secured a 15% and 14.6% audience share, respectively, significantly outperforming competing programs and attracting an average of 255,000 viewers across Catalonia.
This broadcast success follows a series of accolades for the show, including winning the Spanish Ondas Award for Best Series and receiving nominations at the Prix Europa, Forqué Awards, Feroz Awards, and ALMA Awards.
Distributed globally by Beta Film, Pubertat has already been sold to the European public service broadcaster ARTE for France and Germany, as well as to SWR in Germany.
Set against the backdrop of the traditional Catalan human towers, the series explores the delicate dynamics between parents and their teenage children, and it was produced by a collaboration between Distinto Films, Corte y Confección de Películas, Uri Films, Altres Films, and AT-Prod, with participation from 3Cat and HBO Max Spain.
