Channel 5 has released a first look at its upcoming psychological drama The Fortune, starring Eleanor Tomlinson, known for her roles in Poldark and One Day, in a story centered on a mysterious inheritance and buried family secrets.
The narrative follows Amanda Blakefield (Tomlinson), whose idyllic life with her husband Jimmy (Matthew Lewis) and their son is shattered when she receives a massive inheritance from a man she has never met. This unexpected windfall entangles her in the world of the Worrall family, led by patriarch Martin Worrall (Denis Lawson), whose lives are bound together by dark secrets from the past that threaten to tear Amanda’s world apart.
The Fortune also boasts an impressive supporting cast, including British television veterans such as Rebecca Front (The Thick of It), Callum Woodhouse (All Creatures Great and Small), Paula Wilcox, and Nina Wadia.
