NBCUniversal’s US-based digital streaming platform Peacock has officially greenlit The Break-In, a new mystery drama series based on Katherine Faulkner’s novel of the same name, with Megan Gallagher attached to write and executive produce the project.
The Break-In series centers on a woman who refuses to accept that the tragic events of a home invasion were merely random, and her quest for answers sets her on a path that unravels dark secrets hits perilously close to home.
Hailing from Carnival Films, the production features an executive producing lineup that includes prominent industry names Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant, alongside Christine Sacani and the book’s author, Katherine Faulkner.
Peacock previously collaborated with writer Megan Gallagher on the series All Her Fault, and following that project’s breakout success, the platform stated that this new order was commissioned to continue building on their creative momentum with Gallagher and Carnival Films. Gallagher is also well known for her work on the six-part BBC thriller Wolf as well as the upcoming ITV drama The Blame.
