Paramount+ has appointed former Netflix executive Damla Dogan as its new Head of Unscripted, placing her in charge of the streaming platform’s reality programming. Dogan, who has been consulting for Paramount+ for the past nine months, will report to Sarah Aubrey, Head of Paramount+, Max Originals and International Programming at Skydance.
The appointment formalises Dogan’s role in shaping the streamer’s unscripted slate. During her consulting tenure, she worked with Jane Wiseman, formerly Paramount+’s EVP and Head of Originals, on acquisitions including Making Love, a relationship series from Kinetic Content, and Team Moms, produced by ITV America and Skydance Sports. The latter, executive produced by Kim Kardashian, launched in September.
From Netflix Originals to Paramount+ Leadership
Dogan brings extensive experience in reality and unscripted programming to the role. She spent six years at Netflix, serving as Director of Unscripted Originals from 2018 to 2024. Her credits include reality and lifestyle titles such as The Circle, Bling Empire, Owning Manhattan, Buying Beverly Hills, Indian Matchmaking and Get Organized with The Home Edit.
Before joining Netflix, Dogan spent more than a decade at E! Entertainment Television, where she was involved in the development of major reality franchises. Her work included Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which she oversaw for its first 14 seasons, as well as Total Divas. She also held a development role at VH1, part of the Viacom portfolio that preceded Paramount.

A Bigger Role for Unscripted at Paramount+
Dogan’s promotion comes amid a broader restructuring of Skydance’s streaming leadership. Casey Bloys, Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer of Skydance Direct-to-Consumer, oversees original programming across both HBO Max and Paramount+. As part of the new structure, Sarah Aubrey has taken on an expanded remit covering Paramount+, Max Originals and international programming.
The appointment also signals a more defined commitment to unscripted content at Paramount+. Before Skydance took control, the streamer had been a relatively limited buyer of original reality formats beyond projects connected to its existing intellectual property. Its recent acquisitions, including Making Love and Team Moms, point to a broader approach to third-party unscripted commissions.
With Dogan now leading the division, Paramount+ is positioning itself to build a more prominent reality programming slate under its new streaming leadership.
