Trailer for Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black Movie Released
The trailer of Back to Black, a movie about the life of veteran singer Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011, has been released.
Marisa Abela portrays Winehouse in the lead role of the biopic. The movie is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Eddie Marsan and Juliet Cowan accompany Marisa Abela in the lead roles of the production, which is the first fictional movie about Amy Winehouse’s life. Marsan plays Winehouse’s father Mitch Winehouse. Cowan plays Janis Winehouse-Collins, the famous artist’s mother.
Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011 at the age of 27. Winehouse had many hit songs throughout her career. The US singer is considered one of the best female vocalists of all time.

Scheduled for May 10th, the trailer for the film has been released. “I don’t write songs to be famous,” Abela as Winehouse says in the trailer as the opening song plays. “I write songs because I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t.”
When Will Amy Winehouse Movie Back to Black Come Out?
Back to Black, named after Amy Winehouse’s most famous song and the first biographical Winehouse film, will be released on May 10, 2024. The Amy Winehouse Foundation, Universal Music Group and Sony Music Publishing are also supporting the movie.
A documentary about Winehouse, Amy, was previously released in 2015. Directed by Asif Kapadia, the documentary was highly acclaimed by critics and audiences.
