Telecinco & Netflix’s Spanish Series Unauthorized Living to be Remade in Türkiye
Turkish channel TV8 is remaking the Spanish drama Vivir Sin Permiso (Unauthorized Living), the second international adaptation of the scripted format.
This news follows an agreement between Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, the owner of the distribution rights, and Acunmedya.
TURKISH ADAPTADION WILL BE AIRED UNDER THE TITLE YETKİSİZ
It was announced that the Turkish adaptation will be broadcast under the title Yetkisiz. The series is about the life of a criminal disguised as a businessman who tries to choose his replacement after learning that he has Alzheimer’s disease.
Turkish writer Gökhan Horzum is handling the Turkish remake alongside director Volkan Kocatürk, with executive producer Esat Yontunç overseeing the adaptation process.
Unauthorised Living became one of Spain’s most-watched series in 2018 after its premiere on Telecinco, and then reached a global audience with its second run on Netflix.
Yetkisiz marks the second adaptation of Unauthorized Living following an Italian version that debuted on Canale 5 in 2022, under the name Il Patriarca. It was produced by CamFilm.
