Apple Original Films has acquired the film rights to Rebecca Serle’s upcoming novel, Once and Again.
The project is currently in the early stages of development, with Liz Tigelaar set to adapt the story. Production will be handled by Lee Eisenberg and Natalie Sandy of Piece of Work Entertainment, in partnership with Apple. Rebecca Serle will also serve as a producer on the project, alongside David Stone of TFC.
The novel is scheduled for release on March 10, 2026. The story follows Lauren Novak, a Malibu native confronting her past, and explores the Novak women’s unique gift: each can, just once, turn back time.
Rebecca Serle has previously adapted her novels In Five Years, One Italian Summer, and Expiration Dates for Hollywood.
Tigelaar, an Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated creator, is known for her work on acclaimed adaptations such as Tiny Beautiful Things and Little Fires Everywhere.
