According to a report by Amagi, applied AI is rapidly becoming embedded in core media workflows, moving beyond experimentation into full operational integration.
At the same time, FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) continues its strong global growth, with viewing hours increasing by 21% and ad impressions rising by 27% year-over-year in Q4 2025.
The report highlights that AI is delivering the most impact in high-volume, data-driven tasks such as metadata enrichment, content tagging, subtitling, translation, and social publishing.
Regionally, growth remains strong across all markets, particularly in Latin America, while the US and Canada still lead in total viewing share. As new FAST channels continue to expand the ecosystem, the report concludes that artificial intelligence could represent the next major structural shift in the industry, potentially as transformative as streaming itself.
