Stellan Skarsgård has joined the cast of a new Apple TV+ thriller series starring Dakota Fanning.
The project is created and showrun by Alex Cary and is being developed by Sony Pictures Television.
In the series, Dakota Fanning plays an undercover agent who infiltrates a multi-billion-dollar international corporation. As the mission unfolds, the story takes a complex turn when her character begins to question her objective, suspecting that the man she is targeting may not be the villain she was led to believe, blurring the line between duty and personal emotions.
Stellan Skarsgård will portray Brandt, the powerful figure at the head of this global company. In addition to starring, Elle Fanning is also attached to the project as an executive producer. The series will be directed by Kari Skogland.
Stellan Skarsgård was most recently recognized with an Oscar nomination for Sentimental Value, and is widely known for his roles in major productions such as Dune and Andor.
