Amazon MGM Studios has made significant high-level hires to bolster its unscripted and documentary division under the leadership of Jenn Levy.
In her first major appointments since taking over the department earlier this year, Levy has recruited former Disney executive Tiffany Faigus and Netflix veteran Ariane Wu.
Faigus, who previously managed hit ABC titles like Shark Tank and the viral Hulu series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, joins as Senior Creative Executive of Unscripted Series. Ariane Wu comes to Amazon following an eight-year tenure at Netflix, where she oversaw global documentary sensations such as The Tinder Swindler.
Both executives will report directly to Levy, further solidifying a powerhouse team that marks a reunion of former top-tier Netflix talent. Levy’s move to Amazon MGM Studios had already reunited her with Peter Friedlander, Amazon’s Head of Global Television and former Netflix scripted head, and these new appointments signal a strategic effort to dominate the non-fiction and alternative entertainment landscape by bringing together the industry’s most experienced creative minds.
