BossaNova Media has partnered with Energy UK, the UK’s energy trade association, to develop Energy Explained, a new short-form series exploring energy production, infrastructure and the transition to renewables.
The first episodes will address questions audiences are searching for, including what happens when someone switches on a light and how the energy system works when the wind does not blow or the sun does not shine. Using footage and access provided by Energy UK and its members, the series will also explore the science and engineering behind the country’s power network.
Klik Studios to Support YouTube Content Strategy
BossaNova will work with its London- and Istanbul-based sister company Klik Studios, drawing on its YouTube channel management expertise. Formerly known as Night Train Digital, Klik currently manages nearly 60 scripted and unscripted channels, reaching more than 25 million subscribers and generating over 3.5 billion watch hours.
Energy UK’s chief communications officer Juliette Sanders said the partnership would help make the increasingly complex energy sector more accessible while showcasing rarely seen engineering projects.
BossaNova’s head of acquisitions Francesca Johnson described the collaboration as an important step in the company’s expansion into digital-first content, alongside its traditional television business.
BossaNova Plans Digital Development Day for 2027
The Energy Explained partnership also marks a new direction for BossaNova’s Development Day initiative, which launched nearly a decade ago. The company plans to hold its first YouTube- and digital-first-focused Digital Development Day in spring 2027.
Through closer collaboration with Klik and other companies within the Serafin group, BossaNova aims to expand its digital sales revenue and develop new content opportunities for online platforms.
