The long-awaited reunion of the legendary British rock band Oasis is set to be immortalized in a major documentary production.
Created by Steven Knight, the visionary behind Peaky Blinders, this special feature will bring one of the music world’s most significant comebacks to both global cinema screens and digital streaming.
The currently untitled documentary is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical and IMAX release on September 11, followed by an exclusive streaming debut on Disney+ later in the year. Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the film boasts a stellar creative team, including Oscar-winning technical talent from acclaimed productions such as Top Gun: Maverick and The Zone of Interest.
In a historic moment for the Oasis fans, the documentary will feature the first joint interview with Liam and Noel Gallagher in over 25 years. Focusing on the “Oasis Live ’25” tour, the film will detail the band’s reconciliation process through never-before-seen footage of rehearsals, backstage moments, and live performances.
Beyond the brothers’ personal journey, Steven Knight emphasizes that the project captures a global cultural moment, telling a story of how music can unite generations and touch the lives of fans worldwide.
Knight said: “I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as importantly, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and, in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”
