London- and LA-based distributor Fifth Season has acquired the international distribution rights to Recap, a psychological mystery thriller series produced by K Period Media.
Starring prominent names, the new production is being launched to international buyers at the LA Screenings. The plot centers on a man and his family who wake up every morning with no memory of the previous day, relying solely on a daily video recap to remind them of their identities. Living an isolated life on a remote farm, the family follows strict survival rules until a terrifying encounter forces them to question everything they know about survival, family, and themselves.
The Fifth Season series features a star-studded cast led by Corey Stoll, known for House of Cards, and Julia Stiles, memorable for 10 Things I Hate About You. Marking K Period Media’s first independently financed series, the project boasts a strong creative team created by Adam Glass (Criminal Minds), Andrew Dabb (Supernatural), and Justin S. Lee (Resident Evil), with Glass and Dabb serving as showrunners, while Richard Shepard executive produces and directs all episodes.
Alongside Recap, Fifth Season’s rich LA Screenings scripted slate also includes the ITV-commissioned crime thriller The Blame, starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth; the Cold War drama Honey; a reimagining of Treasure Island; and The Night Manager Hong Kong, which is the Chinese adaptation of the BBC’s acclaimed espionage thriller.
