Blue Ant Media has brought together its rights and streaming operations under a single structure.
The new organization is designed to take a more strategic approach to content distribution, windowing, partnerships, and the monetization of its IP portfolio.
Mark Bishop has been appointed to lead the combined rights and streaming division as Chief Monetisation Officer. Matt Hornburg will oversee the studios arm as Chief Content Officer at Blue Ant Studios. The company’s third division, Canadian Media, continues to be led by Mitch Dent.
Meanwhile, Carlyn Staudt, president of global channels and streaming, is set to leave the company. Craig Junner has been promoted to EVP and general manager for global channels and streaming.
International sales operations have also been reorganized under a regional leadership model, covering APAC, the Americas, and EMEA separately.
Overall, the company aims to manage its content portfolio in a more unified way, optimizing monetization and distribution across the full content lifecycle.
“As our content portfolio, customer relationships, and distribution footprint have grown significantly, it became clear that a more unified approach to content monetisation would enable us to better capitalise on opportunities across platforms and markets,” said Blue Ant Media CEO Michael MacMillan.
“This structure gives us greater visibility across the content lifecycle, enabling us to better serve our partners, unlock greater value from our content across platforms and territories, and capitalise on opportunities in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
