Go Türkiye’s new mini-series The Knot: Gateway to Anatolia brings the rich history, art, nature and gastronomy of Anatolia to international audiences through a romantic story. Starring Sıla Türkoğlu and Serkan Çayoğlu, the series follows a journey across Ankara, Eskişehir, Konya and Çorum.
Produced as part of the Go Türkiye Mini Series initiative by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), the series combines destination storytelling with the story of two art historians whose professional rivalry turns into an unexpected journey of discovery.
Two rival art historians embark on a journey across Anatolia
The Knot: Gateway to Anatolia follows Toprak and Bahar, two art historians competing for a position at the same university. Their paths cross again as they embark on a journey exploring Türkiye’s historical and cultural heritage.
Sıla Türkoğlu plays Bahar, while Serkan Çayoğlu portrays Toprak. Levent Özdilek also joins the cast as Professor. As the journey unfolds, the pair gradually moves beyond their academic rivalry, discovering both each other and the cultural heritage of the regions they visit.
While Ankara serves as the main setting, the story also travels through Eskişehir, Konya and Çorum. Historical sites, art, nature and gastronomy become an integral part of the narrative rather than simply serving as a backdrop.
Go Türkiye continues its international storytelling strategy
The Knot: Gateway to Anatolia is the latest production in Go Türkiye’s mini-series initiative, which introduces Türkiye’s destinations to international audiences through cinematic storytelling.
