Co-production and Arabic-language projects in focus
DICM’s Content Business Hub will allow registered participants to access company profiles, catalogues and available titles before the event, helping buyers identify potential acquisitions and prepare for meetings.
Co-production opportunities will also feature prominently through Producers Connect, which is designed to connect producers with potential partners and support new collaborations. Companies already registered with an interest in finding co-production partners include Blue Media, Assada Productions, TelevisaUnivision, Kaband, Prime Target and Inter Medya.
Another initiative, Spotlight Stories, will focus on original Arabic-language scripted projects from the MENA region. Selected creators will pitch their projects live on November 11 to a committee featuring Malek Jaber of Aflam Production, Sinan Mawad of Writables, and Mishel Zreik and Madonna Khafaja of Whitebee Media.
The initiative aims to help promising projects progress from pitching to development and production. The winning project will have the opportunity to be developed with Writables and move towards production through AFLAM Production.
DICM Talks to explore changes in the content business
The DICM Talks programme will address current questions facing the international and regional entertainment industries. Scheduled sessions include Content Isn’t King Anymore by Nad’s Review; What Can Cinema and YouTube Learn From Each Other?, moderated by Zeina Merheb, with Gianluca Chakra of FrontRow Filmed Entertainment, Meryem Raji of YouTube and Amanda Turnbull of Rise Studios; and The Great Content Reset: Fewer Titles, Bigger Impact, featuring industry and screen professionals.
Other sessions will examine The Future of TV in MENA and The Thirty-Day Race: Is Ramadan Still the Right Model for Arab Drama?
Screenings and content showcases will complement the talks and business meetings, offering additional opportunities for content discovery.
With the event approaching, DICM 2026 is set to bring international content companies and industry decision-makers together in Dubai for two days of meetings, networking and discussions on the future of the media and entertainment business.
