Düğüm: Prime Video Announces Release Date of First Locally Produced Series
Prime Video, the component of Amazon Prime membership, has announced that its first Locally Produced Original series, Düğüm, will premiere on 23 February. The poster for Düğüm has also been released. Prime Video members will be able to watch the first three episodes of the eight-part crime drama on the same day, with the remaining episodes airing weekly.
Bergüzar Korel, Caner Cindoruk and Serkan Altunorak share the lead roles in Düğüm and the series is produced by Onur Güvenatam. The series, directed by Can Ulkay, is an OGM Pictures production. Düğüm, a crime drama/thriller, focuses on the story of Neslihan Turhan, a successful journalist who finds herself caught between her career and her responsibilities as a mother.
DISTRIBUTION OF CAST ROLES
While Bergüzar Korel plays Neslihan, an ambitious and idealistic journalist in Düğüm, Serkan Altunorak plays Neslihan’s husband Vural, an emotional and fragile academic. Caner Cindoruk, who will meet the audience with the character of Nejat in Düğüm, takes on the role of a successful and reliable inspector working in the homicide bureau.
İbrahim Selim as the producer of the programme “Tek Gerçek” presented by Neslihan, Ece Dizdar as the television producer of the rival channel, and Itır Esen as Neslihan’s assistant accompany the successful actors. Kaan Meriç Sezen plays the role of Neslihan’s son Can.
THE STORY OF DÜĞÜM
Neslihan Turhan is a talented television journalist, known for her character and career built on the principles of reliability and integrity. Neslihan, who hosts the highly rated programme “Tek Gerçek”, where she investigates missing persons and murder cases, has an endless ambition to succeed and maintain this success.
In her last programme, while challenging one of the shadowy figures of the underworld, she utters the sentence “If I had a son, I wouldn’t have mercy!”, which starts the most difficult test of her life. Neslihan’s life is turned upside down when her son Can is accused of murdering his friend Lal at a party.
