SkyShowtime is expanding its slate of Swedish originals with a new crime drama titled National Homicide Unit.
The eight-episode series is inspired by a real-life elite police unit known as Riksmord (the National Homicide Unit). The series is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Sweden, in collaboration with SkyShowtime, TV4, Film i Skåne, Film i Dalarna, and Filmpool Nord.
Pernilla August, Jonas Karlsson, Nina Zanjani, and Alexander Abdallah star in the series. Each investigation unfolds across two episodes, with filming taking place in multiple Swedish locations, including Helsingborg, Höganäs, Luleå, and Borlänge.
National Homicide Unit joins the channel’s growing roster of original productions, alongside Veronika, Where the Sun Always Shines, and The Trio.
