The hit video game Dead by Daylight video is being developed as a feature film.
The Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and Behaviour Interactive co-production is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Alexandre Aja. Both names are known for their strengths in the horror genre.
Johnson-McGoldrick previously worked on The Conjuring 2, while Aja is known for films such as Crawl and The Hills Have Eyes.
Launched in 2016 and reaching over 60 million gamers, Dead by Daylight adaptation is one to look forward to. In the game, four survivors are trapped in a deadly arena where they must work together to escape while being hunted by a relentless killer. Set within a mysterious realm controlled by a malevolent entity, the story centers on survival, fear, and the tension between hunter and prey.
While there is no director yet, the adaptation aims to bring the game’s psychological horror atmosphere based on survival to the screen.
