Beta Film has acquired the worldwide rights to the long-running action drama Sea Patrol through a deal with Nine Network, further strengthening its international catalogue.
The 68-episode series, each running one hour, continues to perform strongly in global markets and is currently ranked among the top 10 shows on RAI in Italy, alongside other internationally successful titles such as Hudson & Rex.
Set against the backdrop of Australia’s coastline, Sea Patrol follows the crew of the naval patrol ship HMAS Hammersley as they tackle high-risk missions including drug smuggling, piracy, and illegal immigration, while forming deep bonds through shared challenges.
Starring Ian Stenlake and Lisa McCune, the series combines action with character-driven storytelling, highlighting leadership tensions and team dynamics. Originally airing between 2007 and 2011 across five seasons, the show has already been sold to 35 territories, demonstrating its lasting international appeal.
