Studio 100 International and Norway-based Qvisten Animation have announced their first feature film co-production, Nightling, an original animated fantasy adventure for children and families. Currently in production, the 80-minute film is scheduled for delivery in December 2027. Studio 100 Film will handle international sales and present the project to buyers at the American Film Market (AFM).

Nightling Reimagines the Tooth Fairy Myth
Directed by Rasmus A. Sivertsen, known for animated films including Louis & Luca and Just Super, Nightling marks the feature directing and screenwriting debut of Norwegian illustrator and Nemi comic creator Lise Myhre.
The story follows an unconventional young fairy who accidentally puts both the human and fairy worlds at risk. To set things right, she embarks on an adventure that challenges her to embrace her identity. Featuring fairies, ghosts, dragons and witches, the film explores friendship, belonging and self-acceptance through fantasy, comedy and mystery. It is aimed primarily at children aged 8–12 and family audiences worldwide.
The voice cast includes Alisha Weir as the Tooth Fairy, Aaron MacGregor as Kaito, Dee Snider as Scuti, Miriam Margolyes as Mad Marti, Noah Hathaway as the Sandman, Kristofer Hivju as Dread, Zaris-Angel Hator as the Wish Fairy and Jeppe Beck Laursen as the Bad Guys.
Studios Expand Their Animation Partnership
The co-production marks a new stage in the collaboration between Studio 100 International and Qvisten Animation. The companies are also working on two additional animated features in pre-production, alongside several projects in development. Their previous collaboration includes Rally – From Paris to the Pyramids.
Both studios said the partnership will focus on developing and distributing animated features for international audiences, combining Studio 100 International’s global market reach with Qvisten Animation’s production and creative expertise.
