A24 has released the first full-length trailer for its drama-thriller film Primetime.
Lance Oppenheim’s narrative feature film debut produced by and starring Robert Pattinson follows the origins of Chris Hansen’s primetime segment To Catch a Predator.
Robert Pattinson will step into the shoes of Chris Hansen, the show’s host. Primetime will also star Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers and the former NBCUniversal boss Jeff Zucker, who plays himself.
The film is a Range Media, Icki Eneo Arlo and Square Peg production. Robert Pattinson, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, Brighton McCloskey and Lars Knudsen are the producers.
The official logline for the movie reads: “In 2006, To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen sets out to make television history.” The A24 original follows Hansen during a significant chapter in the history of the show, which carried out sting operations designed to catch child predators.
The movie will premiere exclusively in theaters on September 25.
