The highly anticipated trailer for the second season of The Four Seasons, the Netflix comedy from creators Tina Fey and Lang Fisher, has officially arrived, shifting the scene to the sun-drenched coasts of Italy.
Based on Alan Alda’s 1981 cult classic, the new chapter explores the messy intersections of friendship, loss, and midlife transitions. Following the death of Nick (Steve Carell), the tight-knit group finds its center upended, forcing the remaining friends to navigate their shared grief while attempting to forge new traditions.
This season, the stakes are amplified by the arrival of “a baby or two” following Ginny’s (Erika Henningsen) cliffhanger pregnancy announcement, a development that creates an unexpected and complex new dynamic between her and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver).

As the group travels to Italy to meet Claude’s (Marco Calvani) family, the narrative dives deeper into personal growth and shifting priorities. Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude grapple with the fragility of life as they seriously consider parenthood, while Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte) struggle to support one another through their individual mourning processes. Meanwhile, Anne begins to reclaim her joie de vivre through unexpected romantic encounters.
Showrunners Fey, Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield return to lead the creative vision alongside original creator Alan Alda, promising a season that stays true to the beloved film’s heart while embracing modern chaos. The Four Seasons Season 2 is set to premiere globally on May 28, 2026, only on Netflix.
