Beta Film has announced that the Greek drama The Beach is continuing its international success with a strong launch in Italy.
The series premiered on RAI 2, quickly becoming the No. 1 international series on RaiPlay and climbing to No. 3 in the platform’s overall Top 10.
Produced by Foss Productions in co-production with ERT, the 144-episode telenovela is set in Matala, Crete, in 1969, blending romance, mystery, and the spirit of the hippie movement. The drama became one of Greece’s biggest television successes in recent years, attracting impressive streaming audiences on ERTFLIX and establishing itself as one of the country’s most successful TV exports.
Ahead of its Italian debut, The Beach also received significant media attention, including a feature on RAI’s main news bulletin, underscoring the strong anticipation surrounding its premiere. Beta Film continues to distribute the series internationally as it expands its global footprint.
