Academy Award-winning filmmaking duo Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), the visionary minds behind Everything Everywhere All at Once, have officially geared up for their next highly anticipated project under Universal Pictures, an untitled, big-budget secret event film.
Sean Kaufman, who catapulted to global fame with his standout roles in Prime Video’s smash hit The Summer I Turned Pretty and Apple TV+’s sci-fi sensation For All Mankind, is currently in negotiations to star opposite Hollywood heavyweight Matt Damon.
While Damon anchors the feature, sources indicate that Kaufman will take the lead among a vibrant, younger ensemble cast that the directors have been meticulously auditioning over the past several weeks.
This mysterious, star-studded project boasts an impressive lineup, featuring acclaimed actress Sandra Oh and May December breakout star Charles Melton alongside Damon and Kaufman. Written and directed by the Daniels, the film will be produced by the duo alongside their long-time producing partner Jonathan Wang through their company, Playgrounds, as part of their overall deal with Universal. This highly anticipated cinematic event is officially scheduled to hit theaters on November 19, 2027.
