In one of the largest sector deals announced this year, Israel-based micro drama platform Shortical has secured 100 million USD in financing from Singapore-based PvX Partners.
Rather than traditional venture capital, the funding was provided in the form of a non-dilutive revolving credit facility aimed specifically at user acquisition. Propelled by its data-driven and AI-first approach, the app managed to break into the top 10 highest-grossing applications within its category in the United States less than a year after its launch. Demonstrating this AI-native strategy,
Shortical released Bound by Fire in May, its first fully AI-generated original epic fantasy micro-series, created and directed by award-winning creator Ofir Lobel.
Currently, the platform boasts high engagement with over 20 million episodes viewed each month, translating to approximately 250,000 hours of content consumption, while continuing to optimize its narratives in real time through the analysis of user data.
